In filament-based 3D printing, underextrusion and nozzle clogging is a dreaded problem:
printed parts lose their strength, often even invisible from the outside, or prints break off completely.
Multec can prevent both sources of error with the latest development: with Filatrack - an intelligent and automated volume flow control that intervenes at an early stage through volume flow monitoring and control.

The cause of under-extrusion is often an incipient nozzle clogging, problems with the filament feed or unfavorable printing parameters (nozzle temperatures that are too low, printing speeds that are too high, the extrusion multiplier that is too large).
Multec has now solved this problem very effectively: the volume flow is continuously monitored and corrected in the event of an error
exact slip measurement between target values and actual values This slip detection also detects a nozzle blockage right from the start. The machine first tries to correct the problem with corrective measures and only requests user intervention if the error remains. Blocked nozzles can thus be detected at a very early stage and countermeasures can be taken either by machine or by the user.
Thanks to the multiple print head, the machine can also switch to another hotend completely independently and without interruption.

This eliminates scrap without any user intervention and the printed part is finished error-free without any time delay.

As always with Multec GmbH: this new development can also be retrofitted.
